Who is a Good Candidate for ThermiTight?

You may be a good candidate for ThermiTight treatments if you want to tighten loose, sagging skin without going under the knife. You may also be a good candidate if you meet the following qualifications:

The ThermiTight Procedure

The ThermiTight procedure will start with the administration of a local anesthetic to ensure you’re completely comfortable. From there, tiny incisions will be made in the treatment area. It’s through these small incisions that the ThermiTight wand is inserted and delivers radiofrequency energy. The energy causes the collagen to contract and shrink, tightening the skin from within. The treatment also stimulates collagen production, renewing the skin and providing a more supportive structure. 

The procedure typically takes anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on how large the treatment area is, how many areas are treated, and the results you’re looking for. 

You may also need multiple treatments. Dr. Andrews will discuss your treatment plan with you during your consultation.

Aftercare

After ThermiTight treatment, you will likely experience some mild redness and swelling, but those symptoms typically diminish after 24-72 hours. The treatment areas will also be sensitive for about 3-5 days. 

You can return to your normal routine the day after treatment, although you should wait 2-3 days before engaging in any mild activity.

You can apply ice for two hours post-treatment, applying it for 20 minutes and removing it for 20 minutes to reduce swelling. You’ll also want to keep your incisions clean by washing them with warm water and gentle soap. You may also be advised to wear a compression garment for the first few days after treatment.

Many patients begin to notice results two weeks after treatment, and those results will continue to improve for the next six months. Results can last two to three years, and you can receive maintenance treatment to ensure the skin remains tight and firm.
