The ReStart Shot
The ReStart Shot is a once-weekly injection that is administered into the tissue of the abdomen, back of the arm, or thigh. During your first visit, Dr. Andrews and our team will walk you through the dosing and the injection process. We will prescribe injections for you to perform at home once a week, or you can come into the office for your weekly injection.
If you want to treat yourself at home, don’t worry! It’s an easy shot to administer, and before you leave the office, we will be sure you feel comfortable with it. The shot comes with only a few possible side effects, including nausea, vomiting, constipation, and diarrhea.
Aftercare
There is no recovery or downtime with the ReStart Shot. You can go back to your daily routine immediately. Dr. Andrews or a member of our team may provide some recommendations for a healthy diet and exercise plan, but beyond that, you can return to work or home right after your appointment. If you prefer to have your injections at the office, we can help you schedule those appointments after your consultation. Weight loss results will develop gradually as you shed the pounds and start to develop lean muscle mass.
