The Renuvion Skin Tightening Procedure
As with most cosmetic procedures, anesthesia is administered before anything occurs. Once that kicks in, Dr. Andrews will make a small incision in the treatment area and then insert the Renuvion wand into that incision. The plasma energy is then applied directly to the tissues, heating up the area and tightening the skin. Simultaneously, it also stimulates collagen production. The helium gas will also be emitted to cool the tissue, so you never have to worry about burning.
After the treatment and in the weeks following it, your skin will continue to produce collagen, providing further improvements.
Aftercare
After your procedure, you can expect to feel some mild discomfort. redness, and swelling. That swelling can last for a few weeks after treatment. You’ll be given a compression garment to wear for the first 72 hours.
As for going back to your normal routine, you’ll want to limit your activities and rest for the first week after Renuvion treatment. You can return to week during the second week of recovery, and Dr. Andrews will likely clear you for all your normal activities after three weeks.
