What is NeoGraft Like?

Your particular NeoGraft procedure will depend on a variety of factors, such as the number of grafts you are transplanting, the size of the thinning area you are hoping to cover and your natural hair type. But the process remains the same for all patients. 

First, you and Dr. Andrews will work together to set expectations for your results — how much coverage you will have, the shape and location of your new hairline and more. Then, on the day of your surgery, Dr. Andrews will carefully map out where each graft will be placed in order to achieve your desired results. You’ll be kept comfortable with anesthesia during the procedure. Typically, local anesthesia is sufficient since the process is minimally invasive.

Dr. Andrews will identify a section of your healthiest hair and shave a portion so that the individual hair follicles are visible. Then, he uses the NeoGraft tool to extract healthy follicles in a pattern that won’t leave patchy regrowth.
